Show Notes
From Krd to the world and back was the energy on this ep! Zoo Brazil, Real Cumbia Activia RCA, Lolina, Alewya, I JAHBAR and Sam Nóbrega were just some of the outernational acts we featured. deepState, MOKOMOKAI, Troy Kingi, Eo and Fanau Spa led the way on the local front. Plenty, plenty more!
Big thanks to our mates The Claddagh Irish Pub & Garden Bar!

There are soooo many great new releases right now it's a struggle to fit them all in! We did our best, lifting another track from the all-killer new YL Hooi EP, some righteous Strawl business, a taster from the brilliant new Karen y Los Remedios LP and some outer space percussion from Gavsborg & Pele fyah! Local heat from Hanson St. Dub, Echomatica and Goodspace were just some that kept the home fires burning.
Gently as we go was the remit on this week's show. After easing in with a classic from Mala, a 30 year old reissue from Hiroshi Yoshimura and a recent bubbler from Yeti Wang, we raised the levels with Trans-Tasman fire from YAOB, Skymning, DJ Plead and Coco Solid. We played a couple from future visitors Saint Etienne and Beth Orton as well of plenty of playlist perfection.
We're spoiled rotten yet again with recent burners from El Búho, Fatima Al Qadiri, Yoto e Ignacio La Conga, Alewya and Lady Shaka cooking the studio. We dug into the vault and pulled out some faves from Family Of God, The Fall and Wamdue Project before time traveling to the present day with contemporary classics from Erykah Badu & The Alchemist, COB, Monday Sucks and deepState.
As is the way of bFM we navigated the globe sampling only the finest musical specimens. Gathered treasures from Alek Lee, Tessuto feat. Mutado Pintado, Fcukers, Esaïa, and Slim Levy were just some from our intl. collection. We featured local taonga from Eden Burns, Great South, Bikes In Space, Jonathan Bree and The Bard of Bollox. Plenty more besides.
