S2 E14 A Romance Scam Nightmare - The Last Victim of Hamish McLaren ft. Tracy Hall
Not a Single BotherShow Notes
On this week's episode I’m joined by Tracy Hall who is author of The Last Victim which tells the story of how she was scammed by her partner of 18 months, Hamish McLaren, out of over $300,000. Hamish, who Tracy knew as Max, turned her life upside down leaving her and many others with no savings and absolutely heartbroken.
Hamish is currently in prison in Australia for scamming many people out of over $7 million but he is known to have scammed people across the world out of over $80 million and probably more.
Seven years on, Tracy is so brave for telling her story and trying to help others to avoid the endless amounts of scams that are becoming more and more prevalent. Hear how Tracy met and fell in love with “Max” who she was building a life with until the day she saw him on the news getting arrested outside of his Bondi home and life as she knew it was flipped upside down.

Who doesn't love a good dating story? This week, I brought my friend Grainne on the pod because she has spent the last few months in the dating scene here in Sydney and has a few iconic stories to tell. I've had a few horror stories myself which make for great stories but the best of all were our listener stories. They had us cackling so much we were silent laughing. From nudists to bar fights to catfishing to dead dogs there was a mixture of all sorts!!
Nutritional therapist and herbal medicine practitioner, Aisling (AOK Nutrition) specialises in female hormones and fertility and I just HAD to get Aisling back on the podcast. As one of my most popular episodes to date, I wanted to recap the old listeners and introduce her to any new, so that we finally understand how our bodies work as we just were not taught these things in school.
Following on from last weeks episode, Kelley and I are delving deep into the highs and lows that come with living in Australia.
With so many people moving to Australia in the last couple of years, I have seen a lot of chat about Australia not being what 'they' make it out to be.
PART 2 with Niamh O'Reilly who is a single mom to her beautiful daughter Eabha. Gorgeous Eabha was born with a special disability called AMC which meant she was born with low muscle tone and fixed joints but really that just means she is cooler than most people 💕
