Washed Gods. Washed. Never Washed Up. This was a busy news week. We had to bring in reinforcements. Our friend Amber of the Amberland podcast stopped by and kicked it with the “The Gods of The Pods”. Da baby is under fire for homophobic comments he made during his set at Rolling Loud. We talked about the fallout we anticipated due to the social media storm he’s in. Simone Byles recently backed out of specific events in this years Olympics due to mental health concerns. All of which we attribute to the media and the toxic environment it perpetuates. The US Olympic Basketball team has had their work cut out for them this year. Starting out shaky with countries like France. No commemorative “Dream Team” merch this year. Frito Lay is back in the news cycle with another story about the Ingram family. They’re story is one of many we’ve heard since we found out about the strike. There’s been a city wide “Mask Mandate” in Atlanta from mayor Kiesha Lance-Bottoms, who seems to be in a silent war with governor Kemp. They’ve both been using the media to air out each other’s grievances. And last but not least, after a sold out listening party at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium here in Atlanta, Kanye West has yet to release his highly anticipated album Donda. The rescheduled date is fast approaching and Yé has been holding out in the stadium until it’s finished. He even popped up at an Atlanta United game. Washed Moments & what we’ve been watching/listening to in the mix. Make sure you check out Amberland on all streaming platforms & and follow her on social media @Ambwow @AmberlandPodcast. Like. Washed Gods. Washed. Never Washed Up. We’re back with another episode. More washed than ever. An eventful week for the Gods. Draft left his job (again), Sean has been trying to stay free long enough to keep his. All is well nonetheless. We talked about various current events in Atlanta. The midtown active shooter. We discussed the topic of AI rapper FN Meka & the effect of social media/information sourcing on rap today. Rick Ross is being sued for unpaid wages in a few of his Wing Stop locations in Mississippi. Finally, Timberland & Swizz Beatz sue triller over Verzuz revenue that they’ve yet to receive. What we’ve been watching/listening to round out the podcast. Almost at 100 episodes! Thanks to all the Gods & Goddesses out there that have been with us since day one. Like. Subscribe. Share. Washed Gods. Washed. Never Washed Up. Episode 97. What a week. Lots of close calls and drunken falls. But we survived. And that’s all that matters we did a Washed Gods x Black On Purpose joint Podcast this week. Which is part of the reason we were so wasted. We talked about the FBI raiding Donald Trumps home Ma-ra-lago. Angela Yee is leaving the the Breakfast Club, and we discussed that as well. The Game dropped an album this week. It includes an Eminem diss. It’s also ten minutes long. So there’s that. And we ended with a recap of our Washed On Purpose episode with Illa, Jay-Fab, & Sho. Washed Moments and what we’ve been watching and listening to rounded out the pod. “All the worlds ills…” you know the drill. Like. Subscribe. Share. Stay Black!
Washed Gods. Washed. Never Washed Up. What up Gods & Goddesses?!! Hope all is well with all our listeners. You’re catching the Gods as at a high this week. We’ve been doing the things. And then pod’n about it. Sean just got back from NY (hence the name of the pod). Draft has been…. Well, being Draft. We talked about losing Bill Russell this week. RIP to the Celtics legend. A major loss to the NBA veteran family. We also discussed Mase’s recent interview on Million Dollars Worth Of Game. He was there to respond to Fivio Foreign’s accusations of locking him into a bad deal and not helping him push his career. Short topic list this week. We rounded out the pod with what we’ve been listening to and watching this week. And of course our “Washed Moments”. That’s about it. Like. Subscribe. Share. Stay Black.
What up Gods & Goddesses? Welcome back. You’re rocking with the best. We’ve been busy with life. Ready for summer to be over with. It’s enough. The heat. The bbq’s. All of it. Hanging out is overrated. Inflation is at an all time high. Walmart & Target have decided to “rollback” prices on produce & food in order to reduce waste. Hot pockets & pizza bites for the hood. Fivio Foreign talked about his deal with Mase on Million Dollars Worth of Game. Stating he got $5K for a deal that he’s still currently in. Another moment where we assessed the details of the music industry as we know it. Monkey Pox is on the rise. Let’s make it plain… it seems like they’re trying to make diseases hilarious. So will we. Monkey’s have never not been funny. You want people to take it seriously, call it something else. We talked about the latest black panther installment, Wakanda Forever. No Chadwick Boseman this go round (Godbless the dead). This means that Shuri and the rest of the Dora Milaje will be supporting the legacy of the Black Panther. Anticipate a lot of memorialized images of King T’challa & the girl power aspects of Marvel’s latest approach to entertainment. What we’ve been watching/listening to rounded out the Podcast. Washed moments mixed in. That’s about it… Washed. Never Washed Up. Like. Subscribe. Share. Stay Black.
