"We [should] not only focus on one treatment option but we should discuss how we can combine different options; this has to be studied in more detail"
In this instalment of the ERS Monograph podcast, Guido Marchi (Early Career Member representative for the Monograph) meets with two of the Guest Editors of “Obstructive and Central Sleep Apnoea”: Winfried Randerath and Jean-Louis Pépin. In a discussion that highlights the complexity of the field, they consider: how best to assess severity and determine treatment needs; the shift towards combined therapy and personalised treatment; appropriate use of AI and digital tools; and the priorities of future research.
