The action stems from Coffeezilla seeking coverage for legal expenses incurred during a defamation lawsuit filed by Logan Paul. Despite explicitly requesting and paying for defamation coverage, Coffeezilla's media carrier denied coverage due to a policy exclusion, while other carriers failed to affirm or deny coverage within the required timeframe. The complaint alleges negligence, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, and violations of the Texas Insurance Code, seeking damages for out-of-pocket legal expenses, statutory interest, and attorney fees.
