Summary
A haunting narrative unfolds as the protagonist returns to his childhood home in a small town, only to discover a disturbing transformation. After receiving news of his father's death, he embarks on a journey to confront his past and the memories tied to his family. However, upon arrival, he finds the town in disarray, with all the doors missing from houses, including his own. This unsettling detail hints at a deeper mystery surrounding the community.
As he explores the town, he learns from local children about a malevolent entity known as the "blind-eyed ghost," which is said to have emerged after his father's last visit. The ghost reportedly knocks on doors, causing fear and chaos among the residents, leading them to remove their doors in an attempt to protect themselves. The protagonist grapples with the legacy of his father's actions and the town's collective trauma, as he seeks to understand the strange occurrences that have plagued the community since his departure.
The story delves into themes of home, memory, and the haunting nature of the past, as the protagonist confronts not only the physical decay of his childhood home but also the emotional scars left by his family's history. The absence of doors becomes a powerful metaphor for vulnerability and the struggle to reclaim a sense of belonging in a place that has become foreign and frightening.
