Show Notes

Suspense presents “Aria from Murder,” episode 413, originally broadcast on CBS on January 25, 1951. Produced during the series’ Auto-Lite run, this backstage noir stars celebrated opera singer Ezio Pinza.

Between acts of Don Giovanni at the Grandier Opera House, baritone Niccolò Mazzini telephones Lieutenant Morgan from his dressing room with an increasingly alarming confession. As the next curtain approaches, professional rivalries, private tensions, and a possible witness close in amid the pressure of a live performance.

Old Time Mystery Radio presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
