Broadway Is My Beat presents “The Frank Conway Murder Case,” originally broadcast on CBS on July 3, 1950. Episode 41 stars Larry Thor as hard-bitten New York detective Danny Clover, with Charles Calvert as Sergeant Gino Tartaglia. Morton Fine and David Friedkin wrote the episode, produced and directed by Elliott Lewis.
Clover is called to the Olympian Hotel after a Texas visitor is found shot in room 312. A businessman’s room, a telegram for a different man, and an unexplained roulette wheel turn a seemingly straightforward homicide into a troubling trail through Broadway’s hotel and gambling world.
Old Time Mystery Radio presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
