This week, it's supposed to be one for the kids but we reckon the adults will love it just as much!. Sab and Jamie have a chat with Cat Clowes about her new book, Platastic! The A to Z of Australian Plants. Cat's done an amazing job of showcasing 26 native plants, with stunning illustrations from Rachel Gyan, helping our kids discover the awesome native plants that exist in the bushlands, parks and backyards all around us. While your little green thumbs will love this book and chat, all of us will learn a little more about the native plants we can look out for or feature in our own gardens. This week, Sab sits down with her dear friend Steph Crowe to talk about the amazing Gelorup corridor. One of those species is the critically endangered Western Ringtail Possum, which is one step away from extinction. Have a listen about why this is such a special place, and what a committed group of locals are doing to secure its future.
We all love our furry friends at home. But what's the best diet for them? Is homemade and home grown better for our cats and dogs than traditional biscuits? She also let's you know how you can do it at home, without missing vital food groups and nutrients your pet needs. Dr Clare Middle is the author of several books on the topic, including 'Real Food for Dogs and Cats'. So grab your dog or cat for a cuddle, have a listen and for more info head to Fremantle Press.
After a couple of months away, Sab and Jamie are back. Hear about Sab's recent wildflower tour of WA, where she started north and worked her way down south. There's plenty of tips to get your garden and backyard right this Spring. And as you'd expect, they both get a little side tracked with Jamie uncovering a story about the time Sab caught a crocodile.
