Always saying yes to be liked: for me, this pattern began in my childhood, growing up with a mother who was an alcoholic. I’ll tell you how reading moods, staying in control and being good gave me a sense of safety back then, and how, later on, it turned into constant helpfulness at my own expense. A personal episode about people-pleasing and the difference between being liked and being needed.

I'd known for a long time that I wanted to leave the city behind for the countryside and nature. It was meant to happen some day, a few years down the line, once everything was properly prepared. Then came that one hour, and "some day" became "now". How I ended up in Ireland of all places, a country I'd never set foot in, is what I'm sharing in my very first episode.
