In this lecture, Ustadh AbdulRahman Hassan explains Al-Manẓūmah Al-Ḥā’iyyah by Imām Ḥāfiẓ Ibn Aḥmad Al-Ḥakamī رحمه الله. A powerful poem that calls the believer to zuhd (detachment from the dunya), sincere hope in Allah, and fear of standing before Him on the Day of Judgment.

Through Qur’anic verses and authentic Prophetic narrations, we reflect on the true nature of this world, how easily it deceives the heart, and why the believer must treat this life as nothing more than a brief journey toward the Ākhirah.

This reminder urges us to prioritise what truly lasts, detach our hearts from temporary distractions, and invest in the deeds that will benefit us when we finally stand before Allah.

A powerful reflection for anyone seeking to realign their priorities, soften their heart, and prepare for the meeting with their Lord.
