Show Notes
This week Dave and George are joined by Tom Glynn-Carney for a career-spanning chat that can generally be plotted out by a series of extreme haircuts.
From The King ("doormat mullet"), to House of The Dragon ("the blonde face-lift") and beyond (eg Rialto's "bleach blonde barnet") Tom says it's a miracle he's still got hair after a career of transformations.
The episode also gives 2019's Tolkien an incredible amount of air time, including one of the best stories about Lord Of The Rings you ever likely to hear, and that's really not overselling it.
Along the way Tom also discusses how Bryan Cranston helped create a "perfect" atmosphere behind-the-scenes on All My Sons and the trip to New York that almost made him miss the show's finale.

More from Before The Lights
This week we're joined by someone with a lot (almost too much) to say, which makes him a perfect guest.
Actor and GoHub founder Jaz Hutchins joins us to discuss his journey to creating the UK's professional acting workshop.
Our latest guest has range. From appearances in some of the biggest biopics of all time, to starring in Wolf Alice videos and finding the time to perfect roly polys Lucy Boyton has it all. And every last inch of those talents (and the embarrassing mishaps/ crossed wires along the way) are covered in this week's podcast.
This week we're joined by actor/ writer/ Overcompensating creator model/ Mary Beth Barone's muse Benito Skinner (aka Benny Drama).
'Two actors and a rugby player join a zoom call' sounds like the start of a really rubbish joke, but it's actually the beginning of a very special conversation.
