If we don't intentionally teach our kids what is true, the world will gladly do it for us. Our children are constantly being discipled by something, social media, friends, trends, brands, entertainment, school, sports, and the culture around them. As Christian parents, we have to ask ourselves: Who is shaping the loudest voice in our children's lives? In this episode, we're talking about raising kids who don't just know about Jesus, but know who they are because of Jesus. We're digging into the power of our words and what Scripture says about the tongue in Proverbs 18:21 and James 3. And this isn't only about how we speak to our children. It's also about how we speak about ourselves in front of them. They hear us criticize our bodies. They hear what we say about money. They watch what we value. They notice what we chase. And whether we realize it or not, we are teaching them what matters. We're also talking about the pressure to keep up with culture the clothes, brands, appearances, schedules, money, status, and constant comparison and why our kids need to learn that their identity and worth were never supposed to come from any of it. Christian parenting isn't about raising perfect kids or being perfect parents. It's about intentionally pointing our children back to truth, grace, conviction, and Jesus again and again. Let's raise kids who know what they believe, know why they believe it, and aren't afraid to stand firm when culture tells them something different. Scripture: Proverbs 18:21 & James 3 🤎 A question to sit with this week: What are my children learning that is important, not because of what I tell them, but because of what they see me prioritize? And maybe the harder question: Is Jesus simply something we talk about in our home, or is He actually at the center of how we live? 💕 Looking for Bible study and Christian community? We make the plans, carry the mental load, anticipate everyone's needs, and try to make sure everything, and everyone is okay. But what happens when we can't figure it out? In this episode, we're talking about returning to childlike faith and learning to trust our Heavenly Father the way our children trust us. I'm sharing a simple moment from a rainy Texas drive with my kids that completely changed the way I thought about trust. While I was watching the road, thinking ahead, and figuring out how to get us home safely, my kids weren't worried about any of it. They trusted the person driving. And maybe that's exactly what some of us need to remember right now. Jesus isn't asking us to know every turn in the road. He isn't asking us to figure out exactly how the story ends before we trust Him. He's asking us to trust the Father who already sees the entire road. We're talking about what Jesus meant when He told us to become like little children, why surrender feels so difficult when we're used to being in control, and how to trust God's “no,” “not yet,” and “I have something different” answers. Because childlike faith isn't ignorance. It's confident dependence on a Father you know is good. You don't have to figure everything out. You don't have to know what happens next. And you don't have to carry tomorrow today. You just get to trust the One who already knows. Scripture: Matthew 18:2–4, Proverbs 3:5–6 & Romans 8:28 🤎 A question to sit with this week: What area of my life am I saying I trust God with while still trying to control the outcome? And one more: If I truly believed my Father could see what I can't see, what would I finally be willing to release? 🙏 Prayer: Father, restore our childlike faith. Teach us to trust You before we understand You. Help us loosen our grip on the things we've been trying to control and remind us that we don't have to know everything to know that You are good. Amen. 💕 Looking for Bible study and Christian community? You thought the prayer would have been answered. The door would have opened. The dream would have grown. The situation would have changed. But instead… you're still waiting. In this episode, I’m sharing the story of a flower I planted that took two years to finally bloom and the reminder God gave me through it: Just because you can't see growth doesn't mean nothing is growing. Some seasons feel like the wilderness. They're quiet. Uncomfortable. Lonely. And when nothing seems to be changing, it can be easy to assume God isn't moving. But what if He's doing some of His deepest work under the surface? We're talking about how to keep trusting God when life isn't unfolding the way you planned, how to recognize the distractions that try to steal your confidence and joy, and why your weakness does not disqualify you from being used by God. Maybe you don't need to dig up what God planted just because it hasn't bloomed yet. Maybe you need to keep watering it. Keep praying. Keep showing up. Keep obeying. Keep believing that God is working—even here. Because the wilderness isn't proof that God has forgotten you. And a season that looks unproductive to you may be producing something you'll need for where He's taking you next. Scripture: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is perfected in weakness.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9 🌸 A question to sit with this week: What have I been tempted to give up on simply because I haven't seen it bloom yet? And ask yourself: What might God be growing beneath the surface of this waiting season? 💕 Looking for women to grow in Jesus with?
