The magic of Chalice Well is weakened, and this is bad news for the naiads - water nymphos - sorry, water nymphs whose fertility is challenged by the sudden change. Why does Draco Malfoy care? He doesn't. But his co-worker Hermione Granger insists on performing some obscure ritual to restore the well's properties, and Draco will endure — under protest, of course — because it does put him awfully close to the witch of his dreams. And now, she's asking him to ruin his dragon-hide boots by stepping into the spring with her. The things a wizard will do for... well, not love, because Draco is not in love. Nope.
