Fleetwood Town's manager, Matt Lawler, reflects on the whirlwind experience following his team's stunning victory over Arsenal in the Carabao Cup. The win, which saw Fleetwood defeat the Premier League champions, has garnered significant media attention, with Lawler's face appearing on various channels, including those in the U.S., thanks to his brother living there.

Lawler explains that the team was well-prepared for the match, emphasizing the importance of believing in their potential to upset a top-tier team. He notes that while the odds were against them, the players were encouraged to enjoy the moment and perform to their best abilities. In the aftermath, he addresses rumors regarding the Arsenal players' reactions, stating that they were gracious in defeat and that several players exchanged shirts with his team.

Looking ahead, Fleetwood Town is set to return to league action against Bristol Rovers, while also preparing for the next round of the Carabao Cup in December, where they will face either Newcastle or Everton. Lawler expresses pride in his team's accomplishments and the support from their small town, highlighting the significance of their victory in the larger context of English football.
