We take another deep dive, this time into the incredible and sometimes strange story of the race to land a man on the moon. We journey from the days when claiming the moon was a rock (and not a God) could have you exiled, to the space race, as paranoia and fear led to a scramble to lay the first foot on the moon, as a way of securing the future of the earth. We hear about the incredible feats of science and exploration that saw humans leave our planet for the first time and go in search of new worlds and, of course, we look at how the claims the moon landing was a hoax began, and ask if there is any truth in the conspiracies. Joe has some ideas he wants to share with us. Send all of your comments, questions, deep dive suggestions and moon landing conspiracies to [email protected]
More from Stall It with Darren and Joe
Hello everyone. Joe has a message for you all on behalf of himself and Darren. Thank you all so much for you patience, kindness and understanding.
Joe is back from his hols in Tenerife and fair to say the review score is on the lower side of the spectrum. On the plus side he did get to accidentally headbutt a seagull on the way into the recording so we get a near live report of the incident. Darren has a new air-con set up and in start contrast to the Spanish resort, it hads been a very psotive experience. Joe thinks golfing is easy and Darren is convince that with the right backing he can become a pop sensation. Send all your questions and comments to [email protected].
Let us rejoice! Darren and Joe are finally back together and this week they join forces to answer some of your incredible/weird/unsettling questions. Questions like what would the roads look like with the boys in charge? We also get the greatest opening line to an email EVER and they get to put their Man United knowledge to the test with a quiz. Send all your questions and comments to [email protected].
Now it is Joe's turn to fly solo which is timely as this week he gets free reign to launch his own airline and needless to say most of not all of his ideas would struggle to get off the ground. Drogheda gets another kicking unfortunately but he does get to wax lyrical about the attractions of Talbot St. It's Dubs Vs Culchies this week too and thanks to Producer Ed's rousing speeach about the glory of a country deli counter the batte is lost for the Jackeens. Darren is flying solo this week but fear not there's plenty questions and answers to go around. It's birthday week and he's quick to shut down a listener suggestion of reducing to having it every five years. We get to hear about the cafe in the sky that was hoisted above Finglas in the 2000s and we get the main man's life soundtrack including some short songs for when he's...ahem...well...you know.
