Show Notes
Not that anybody asked but this week we set up our microphones and looked into hosting providers because we're talking about film duos who we think should make a podcast. Film Duos is too big a subject to talk about as a duo so we have invited comedian and podcaster Jamie Allerton to join us. What will make our final Top 3 list this week? Expect Prince Philip's nal-nal, homosoapians and Highlander 2: The Quickening You can find the trailers for our choices, and other things referenced, on this youtube playlist.

Not that anybody asked but this week we put on the party hats and fired Gonzo out of a cannon because we’re figuring out our Top 3 Films We Would Add The Muppets To, again. Six years in and we are celebrating the only way we know how, by going back to an old topic and pretending we have new ideas. Which movies would be improved by a bit more felt and a lot more chaos? Should Animal be on the drums for every big finale? And is there any film that couldn’t be fixed by a musical number from Miss Piggy? What will make our final Top 3 list this week? Expect grumpy Knight Rider, Gary The Puppet and magnum opi. Get bonus episode and swag on Patreon Buy merch on Teepublic Follow us on Instagram, Threads and TikTok Hosted on Acast. Not that anybody asked but this week we dropped the needle and turned it up to eleven because we're figuring out our Top 3 Needle Drops That Worked Surprisingly Well. Sometimes a director takes a song you've heard a thousand times, sticks it over a scene it has absolutely no business being in, and it becomes impossible to hear it any other way. Which unexpected soundtrack choices turned out to be pure genius? Which ones made a cheerful pop hit deeply sinister, or a fight scene weirdly emotional? What will make our final Top 3 list this week? Expect whipping your tonsils out for someone, the nunchuck of knives and the extent of our NIN knowledge. Not that anybody asked but this week we're all singing and all dancing. Back in episode 21 (over 2,628,000 minutes ago) we argued our Top 3 "Villains Who Have A Point" and nearly had a momentous falling out as Ian went to bat for Benny from Rent. The debate was never settled, so this week we brought in the man himself. We're joined by the incredible Joaquin Pedro Valdes, newly cast as Benny as Rent returns to the West End for its 30th Anniversary. Expect Shinigami, Shakespearean lions and whether the Scorpions had a point on Thunder Road.
Not that anybody asked but this week we grabbed the thesaurus and started swapping the subtitles because we're figuring out our Top 3 Movies Most Changed By Replacing One Word With Another. One tiny tweak to a title can turn a beloved classic into something completely unrecognisable, or somehow make total sense in a way it never should. Which single-word swaps cause the most chaos, the biggest laughs, or the most unsettling improvements? What will make our final Top 3 list this week? Expect the magical football bush Bowie likes to hide in, not letting Ian buy a chainsaw and Forgetful Daddy Get bonus episode and swag on Patreon Buy merch on Teepublic Follow us on Instagram, Threads and TikTok Hosted on Acast.
