Don’t Cry for Me A Song of Comfort

Learning Blind Tech with desiree Renae

Show Notes

There have been several losses this year of dear family members and friends. My Aunt Sue passed away a few weeks ago and really liked this song. There are several versions of it, but the one I wanted to do was by Libby Allen. Thanks to ChatGPT, I found her website and she provides the guitar music for purchase. You can find her singing this song on youtube. You can also visit her website at:

Thanks to her beautiful guitar and version of this song, I was able to record it in memory of Aunt Sue. We love you so much and will always miss you. I hope you are together with your loving husband now.

In this episode, I discuss and demonstrate using the online audio service Auphonic in a new way. I have been using auphonic for my podcast work for over a year now and while it is pretty usable, I wanted an easier way to interface with the service to polish my audio productions. Several weeks ago, I vibe coded just that, a fully accessible desktop interface to work with auphonic. I talk about the process in this episode and walk through basics of presets, auditioning settings and creating a single track production. In this episode of Learning Blind Tech, I do a bit of catching up. A lot has happened over the past few months! Then, we discuss using ChatGPT to create accessible Powerpoint presentations. I have a conversation with ChatGPT, giving it very specific prompts and work with it to create my presentation. Finally, we go through the presentation ChatGPT creates and discuss how it did and what I had to tell it to create the final slide deck.

I this episode, I discuss and demonstrate some options when it comes to live language translation. As a disclaimer, this is no substitute for learning the language, and often the AI gets the wording off, but in many cases, it can give you enough to figure out what is going on if someone is trying to say simple things to you in their language. I had fun with this one, even told a story from my college days.
