Show Notes
Take a deeper dive into capturing what's grabbing your attention personally and professionally. The webinar also includes time for clarifying what you've captured and organizing it into your system. This recording is from the live webinar presented May 26, 2022. During the live webinar, we had stretches of silence while capturing personal and professional items, and for the clarifying and organizing steps. For this recording, we have edited out those periods of silence. You can simply pause the recording while you do each section, then resume when you are complete with that.

In our most recent Office Hour we talked about how to use a tickler or bring-forward filing system, and the important distinction between incubating an item to later decide if it's actionable, and setting a calendar reminder to handle something actionable on a future date. We also discussed the question of how to get others to do GTD. (Hint: exemplify relaxed productivity.) And we mentioned how helpful it is to have the GTD clarifying diagram handy when getting your inboxes to zero. To watch this entire webinar, please visit GTD Connect. You need to control commitments, projects, and actions in two ways--horizontally and vertically. Horizontal control maintains coherence across all the activities in which you are involved. Vertical control, in contrast, manages thinking, development, and coordination of individual topics and projects. In this webinar recording, Ana Maria Gonzalez talks about the relationship between these two levels of control and how you can leverage them both for your productivity.
