He uses it to make a bigger point about how far integrity, morality, and character have fallen, and why men going passive is at the center of it.
JD talks about what you feed will grow, whether that is your faith, your body, your darkness, or your excuses. He gets into pornography, the warrior spirit going dormant, and what COVID revealed about the men we have become. Then he pivots to one of the most powerful stories he has ever told on this show: ending up lost in the bario of Mexico with his wife, in the middle of a rough patch in their marriage, stumbling onto an AA meeting held entirely in Spanish where neither of them understood a word and both of them knew exactly what was being said. They walked in pissed at each other and walked out hand in hand.
He also talks about a woman who reached out about her husband's binge drinking, how he handles every sobriety DM personally, and why AA is still the best option there is if you actually work it.
This one is honest, spiritual, and full of the kind of stories that make it impossible to argue with God.
