What Should You Read Into This With The Habs? Morning Show Oct. 28 | Hour 2

The New Jersey Devils secure a decisive 5-1 victory against the Dallas Stars, showcasing their strong roster and newly acquired goaltender Connor Hellebuck. The Devils limit the Stars to just 17 shots on goal, demonstrating their defensive prowess and possession dominance. Hellebuck's performance, while not heavily tested, marks a successful debut for the team, which has struggled with goaltending in the past.

In trade news, NHL Insider Chris Johnson expands on the trade market, highlighting the ongoing situation with Detroit Red Wings' captain Dylan Larkin, who has expressed a desire to be traded to a select group of teams. Larkin's trade request remains unresolved, and Johnson suggests that he may need to expand his list of potential destinations to facilitate a deal. The Montreal Canadiens and Buffalo Sabres are among the teams showing interest in Larkin, although he has not included them on his current no-trade list.

The conversation also touches on other potential trade targets, including Ryan O'Reilly, Jake DeBrusk, and Jordan Binnington, as teams begin to assess their rosters ahead of the trade deadline. The Canadiens are reportedly seeking an impact player, particularly at center, and discussions around prospects like Michael Hage indicate that no player is off the table if it means acquiring a significant asset.
