Zico exclusive: Why I’d pick Cristiano over Messi and Africa’s greatest ever is…
The Obi One PodcastShow Notes
John Obi Mikel and Chris McHardy are in Rio de Janeiro to speak to one of Brazilian football’s favourite sons: Zico.
Affectionately known as the ‘White Pele’, the former No10 is arguably the greatest player never to win the World Cup whilst for his beloved Flamengo, he has attained God-like status.
In this interview, filmed at the Bakana Bar, a stone’s throw from the iconic Maracana, Zico explains why Pele is, and always will be, the GOAT. He has his say on the great Messi-Ronaldo debate, likens Estêvão to another boy wonder and gives his verdict on the greatest player out of Africa. CLUE: he’s Nigerian! 😀
