Wisdom and Innocence with Tara-Leigh Cobble

Tara Lee Cobble emphasizes the importance of sharing the gospel in today's complex world during a message aimed at women involved in the Ruby Women ministry. She draws from Matthew chapter 10, where Jesus instructs his followers to be "wise as serpents and innocent as doves," highlighting the duality of wisdom and innocence as essential traits for effectively communicating the gospel.

Cobble explains that Jesus prepares his disciples for the challenges they will face, likening them to sheep among wolves. She underscores the significance of understanding the gospel, clarifying what it is and what it is not, and warns against common misconceptions that can distort its message. The gospel, she asserts, is the good news of Jesus Christ, which offers salvation and eternal life, contrasting it with false beliefs that promote self-reliance and fear.

The speaker encourages listeners to relate to their audience, respect differing opinions, and practice repentance as vital steps in sharing their faith. She stresses that these actions should be grounded in a deep understanding of scripture, urging attendees to read the Bible regularly to cultivate wisdom and innocence. Cobble concludes with a prayer, asking for boldness and opportunities for the audience to share the gospel in their lives.
