Laura Coombs | Retiring from football as WSL Champion!
On this episode of Long Story Short, Jill sits down with Laura Coombs just hours after Manchester City were crowned WSL champions — and days after Laura announced that she’ll be retiring from professional football at the end of the season.
Laura reflects on a remarkable career in the game, from the highs and lows along the way to the evolution of women’s football during her time at the top. She also opens up about what it’s been like sharing a dressing room with some of the world’s best players, the winning mentality inside City’s squad, and the emotions surrounding one final title run.
Plus, Laura talks about what's next after football and the projects she’s excited to explore in retirement, and maybe a padel game or two!
This episode is a celebration of the one and only Laura Coombs!
