Defy The Tyrants “Leviathan”: New Single, New Lineup, working with a Dane Hallett, & more
MetalologyShow Notes
In this episode, the Metalology sits down with new Defy The Tyrants members Tom Ruisi (vocals) and Jon Biong (bass) to discuss this new chapter of Defy The Tyrants. They share their stories on how they joined Defy The Tyrants during a turbulent time, some stories that have never been shared on the podcast, why they wanted to play in a band, why Defy was a perfect fit for them, and the new single “Leviathan”.
It’s a fun, casual conversation with Tom, Jon, and other Defy members (and Metalology hosts) Anthony and Jandro. This episode is also full of awkward funniness between the four members Defy The Tyrants and their former bassist Alberto (also a host of Metalology).
Hope you guys enjoy this one as it was so fun for us to put together!

More from Metalology
We are back from a brief hiatus and for this episode, we brought a friend along. On this episode, the Metalology crew sits down with Rich Boca (Blackcast, Good For Nothing) and we had a ton of fun triggering each other over our biggest Metal hot takes. Lots of fun, laughs, and some forehead veins swelled as we dig into each other and share some of our deepest opinions regarding Metal, bands, overrated artists, music production, and more.

Can DevilDriver still deliver after two decades of crushing riffs?
They say every dog gets his day and on this episode of Metalology, our resident Metal elitist takes control. On this episode, Jandro was tasked to choose six thrash metal bands for you to check out this year. All the bands featured on this episode are new (newish) artists and the songs are featured are pretty recent. This was a fun episode and you might be surprised by some of the opinions of the other hosts.
