Dooku wakes up to the sound of birds chirping and children laughing. His eyes immediately narrow suspiciously as he rises to his feet. To his surprise, his body moves with a vigor he had not felt in years. He begins to rise and wipe the sweat from his brow. And then something feels off he blinked and stared at his hands, which are attached to his body once again. Dooku’s body shakes as his mind races. Anakin’s eyes widen as he spots Obi-Wan descending Padme’s ship. A spark of betrayal crosses his face, followed by anger as his mind thinks of all the possibilities. He turns to Padme and feels the Force reaching out and urging him to lash out and strike them. But as he stares at their faces, his anger fades and he instantly feels ashamed. Padme was his wife and the mother of his kids. The kids she’s carrying right now. The clones soon come back with the transport unit. Palpatine has him loaded up and brought back to his ship. But just what he is to do with his young apprentice is another matter. This was a failure, and there is no denying that. And in the Sith, failure is normally only punishable by death. Qui-Gon stares at the small casket as a laser begins incinerating the contents. Although it is part of Jedi tradition, he cannot help but feel a wrongness in the action. Obi-Wan should be buried in nature surrounded by trees and flowers. He looks around at the rest of the hooded Jedi Council/ They make for a solemn sight and while he appreciates the respect they show, doubts creep into his mind. They were a grim lot and far too rigid.
