A five-minute Christian meditation and lectio divina practice on Philippians 3:12-14, with a reading from John Bunyan's The Pilgrim's Progress. Day 13 of the Unseen Existences series.
Scripture Philippians 3:12–14 (NRSVUE) Not that I have already obtained this or have already reached the goal, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Beloved, I do not consider that I have made it my own, but this one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the heavenly call of God in Christ Jesus.
Refrain I press on. I have not arrived.
Quote John Bunyan, from Pilgrim's Progress "His burden loosed from off his shoulders, and fell from off his back, and began to tumble, and so continued to do, till it came to the mouth of the sepulchre, where it fell in, and I saw it no more. Then was Christian glad and lightsome." Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
