The Agenda | Way too early Super Rugby predictions, Australian cricket verge of implosion, should cricket stop being played at the Cake Tin?

The discussion centers on the upcoming Super Rugby season, with a focus on the performance and prospects of various teams. One commentator expresses confidence that the Blues will reach the semi-finals, emphasizing the importance of their new coach and the players' freedom to play a more dynamic style. There is debate over which teams will join the Blues in the playoffs, with the Chiefs being highlighted as a team that must secure a title this year or risk a long drought.

The conversation shifts to Australian cricket, where reports suggest a rift between batters and bowlers, particularly in light of captain Pat Cummins' controversial decision to bowl first on a favorable pitch. Concerns are raised about the team's cohesion and the performance of key players like Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith, with suggestions that Labuschagne may benefit from returning to domestic cricket to regain form.

Finally, the viability of hosting cricket matches at Wellington's Caketon Stadium is questioned, especially given the mixed attendance for recent games. The hosts speculate on the city's sports culture and its impact on crowd sizes, suggesting that a more intimate venue might better serve the local fanbase. The conversation concludes with a light-hearted debate about the appeal of Wellington compared to other cities, with Hamilton being favored for a night out.
