The Galway City – Your Council podcast is back for a special feature episode, focusing on Galway City Museum’s newest exhibit by Lego brick artist Jessica Farrell. Jessica has created twelve tiny models of Galway’s past and present, using LEGO® bricks and minifigures, for children visiting the museum to find as part of a Tiny Treasure Hunt!
In this episode, Jessica discusses her creative approach to making the figures and how she got into the LEGO® brick art business.
Brendan McGowan, Education Outreach Officer, tells us why Galway City Museum took on this innovative and engaging project - while children from St. Patrick’s Primary School, Galway try out the Tiny Treasure Hunt for the first time.

Tá an podchraoladh Galway City – Your Council ar ais le haghaidh gné-eipeasóid speisialta. Díreoidh an mhír seo ar thaispeántas nua Mhúsaem Cathrach na Gaillimhe leis an ealaíontóir brící Lego, Jessica Farrell. Tá dhá mhúnla beag bídeach déag cruthaithe ag Jessica den am atá caite agus den am i láthair i nGaillimh, ag baint úsáid as brící agus mionfhigiúirí LEGO®, a bheidh le n-aimsiú ag leanaí a thugann cuairt ar an músaem mar chuid den Tóraíocht Seoidíní!
San eipeasóid seo, pléann Jessica a cur chuige cruthaitheach maidir leis na figiúirí a dhéanamh agus déanann sé cur síos ar an gcaoi a ndeachaigh sí le gnó na healaíne brící LEGO®.
Inseoidh Brendan McGowan, Oifigeach For-rochtana Oideachais, dúinn faoin údar ar ghlac Músaem Cathrach na Gaillimhe leis an tionscadal nuálach tarraingteach seo - agus tabharfaidh leanaí ó Bhunscoil Naomh Pádraig, Gaillimh faoin Tóraíocht Seoidíní den chéad uair.
Is féidir do chuairt ar an Tóraíocht Seoidíní a phleanáil ar www.GalwayCityMuseum.ie
