WarRoom Battleground EP 2018: Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss, Neturei Karta International; Austin Petersen Host Of Wake Up America

Tensions rise in Israeli politics as the recent elections reveal a fragmented Knesset, with two major blocs vying for power. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party holds 53 seats, while General Eisencott's coalition has 48. The challenge remains for either bloc to secure a governing majority of 61 seats, with discussions around potential coalitions, including the controversial prospect of involving the Arab bloc or the ultra-Orthodox Haradim parties.

Rabbi Yishrael Dovid Weiss, a spokesperson for the anti-Zionist Haredim movement, emphasizes the significant demographic shift expected by 2050, where ultra-Orthodox Jews could comprise up to 30% of Israel's population. He articulates a firm opposition to the state of Israel, framing it as a violation of Jewish religious principles. Weiss argues that the existence of a Jewish state contradicts the covenant made with God, asserting that true Judaism rejects the notion of sovereignty in the Holy Land.

The conversation highlights the broader implications of these political dynamics, suggesting that the growing influence of the Haredim could reshape not only Israeli governance but also the relationship between Judaism and other faiths globally. Weiss calls for a reevaluation of the narrative surrounding Zionism and its impact on Jewish identity and interfaith relations, asserting that the current political landscape is unsustainable and calls for a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict.
