Dark Topic Cold. May 10th 1973. A masked man brandishing a pistol and a rifle, enters the CIBC (Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce) in downtown Kenora, Ontario. A dead man’s switch that looks more like a duck whistle, is clenched between his teeth. The switch is connected to a bag slung over his shoulder which he claims to contain a bomb. Everybody better behave, or be blown to smithereens. From the late ’70s, through the ’80s, and all the way to the early ’90s, horror movie fanatic and humble highway mechanic John Ackroyd cruised up and down the 20 chewing Fireballs. Patrolling the central Oregon woods. Occasionally hunting deer, but preferably poaching a girl.
