Episode 115 is based on a new book called, 'The Norwegian Method Applied' by Marius Bakken whose method is used most famously by Jakub Ingebritsen. Its core is the famous double threshold we all have heard about. I've been doing it with my coach for over 6 weeks and really enjoy it. I'm going to go through the basics here for masters runners. It's definitely worth a listen folks as athletes have had huge success from it. He actually did his first double threshold session with Seb Coe's dad in 1996, who was way ahead of his time and Bakken has conducted more than 5,500 lactate tests and used himself as a long-term experiment, ultimately running 13:06 for 5,000m- a record in Norway for 20 years and he competed at two Olympics. Enjoy, share and give it a try.
Episode 114: Jack from Flycarb is back to follow up on their Biccarb episode from a year ago. We talk about their new product, Beta Alanine which was discussed in my previous episode 113 with Mylem.

A trip down memory lane revisiting my first episode with Joe Gough ahead of the podcast's 4th birthday on June 1st. I reflect on starting the podcast and remember the wonderful day recording live with Joe in his beautiful home. This episode looks at four parts from my debut episode: Joe's start in athletics, his mindset; training and physical work. Please share it widely. Thanks.
