Billings: The Body Without Organs

Billings: The Body Without Organs

Police forced their way into a quiet stone house in Helmsley, North Yorkshire, only to find a scene six weeks in the making, with a smell that reached the pharmacy down the street. The woman who called for help wasn't asking for it; she was calmly explaining her sister wasn't ready to be disturbed. What could lead a family to live with such a secret?

In this episode, we uncover the extraordinary life of Rina Yasutake, a Cambridge scholar who retreated from the world to create her own language and reality within the confines of her family home. We explore the events that led to a sister's unwavering belief in a "Masterpiece" and the tragic discovery that followed.
