In this episode of Kind of Cosmic, I sit down with Giovanna to talk about something most people don’t openly share, out-of-body experiences. After surviving a major car accident, Giovanna found herself floating above her own body, fully conscious, watching it all happen. Years later, it happened again, when she suddenly appeared in a hospital room beside a friend. We dive into what these experiences felt like, what they meant, and how they completely shifted her perspective on life, purpose, and what really matters. Along the way, we also talk about past lives, soul lessons, and the idea that we might be a lot more than just our physical bodies. This conversation is equal parts grounding, mind-bending, and oddly comforting. It is a reminder that there might be more going on than we can see, and maybe that’s the point.

What actually happens in a Reiki session, and what if it opens the door to something more? In this episode of Kind of Cosmic, I sit down with my own Reiki practitioner, Thays, someone I originally went to for energy healing, but who ended up showing me a much deeper world. While she was born with mediumship abilities, she didn’t fully understand how to tap into them until she began practicing Reiki. What was supposed to be a lighthearted, feel-good sound experience turned into one of the strangest nights we’ve ever had. In this episode, my friend Katrina and I unpack our experience attending something called Inner Dance — discovered on Instagram and marketed as a calming, transcendent sound journey. Instead, we found ourselves in a three-hour experience filled with jarring sounds, unprocessed trauma, blurred boundaries, and an energy that felt deeply off from the very beginning.
