Theology Girls Podcast

Show Notes

Today we are sharing a conversation with theologian, professor and author, Ingrid Faro, about her newest book “Redeeming Eden”. Ingrid shares how many people throughout history have misinterpreted creation and the fall in ways that oppress and limit women, as well as how women in the Bible advance the story of salvation. We also talk about Ingrid’s nontraditional faith journey, deconstruction, and what it was like essentially starting over in her 40s.

Make sure check out our bonus Substack episode with Ingrid where she and Katy discuss whether or not the church owes women an apology and what exactly that might look like if actually applied.

Dr. Christopher Hays of Fuller Theological Seminary walks us through the female prophets of the Hebrew Bible, including a scholarly case that Miriam’s song may be older than Moses’.
