Show Notes
Hola! The sun dips below the horizon, painting the sky in deep orange and soft pink as the first beats of the night begin to echo across Ibiza. March is a special time on the island. The streets are still quiet, the beaches are mostly untouched, but the air is charged with the promise of summer. The energy is shifting, the first arrivals are here, and the music never stops—it simply transforms. In Session Ibiza – March 2025 captures the transition from winter's calm into the vibrant pulse of the season ahead. This five-hour journey is born from the island itself. It's more than a mix—it reflects Ibiza's evolving rhythm. As the show unfolds, it mirrors the island's flow, from deep, hypnotic beats that echo through the quiet streets of the Old Town to uplifting energy that builds on the terraces of beach clubs preparing to open their doors. The journey begins with the deep, melodic sounds of Andre Rizo, Noir, and S. Salter, setting the foundation like the first warm breezes of spring. Their tracks drift over the landscape, creating an atmosphere of effortless groove, the kind you hear in the background of a quiet drink at a hidden bar, where conversations are filled with plans for the season ahead. As the night deepens, the show moves into the island's heartbeat. Kelis, Return To Saturn, and Tamir Regev introduce a more vibrant energy, their sounds pulsing like the anticipation in the air as Ibiza's legendary venues start testing their sound systems again. Cedric Salander and Ariel R bring in hypnotic rhythms, transporting you to the beach clubs where the first sunset gatherings of the year take place, a mix of locals and early travelers swaying to the music, knowing they are witnessing the beginning of something special. The journey intensifies with Momo Khani, Cafe De Anatolia, and Arco, blending organic and electronic textures—music that feels at home in a laid-back daytime set and in the late-night hours when the stars seem closer than ever. This is the sound of Ibiza preparing itself, excitement bubbling beneath the surface. As the set progresses, the energy builds, moving through the hypnotic beats of Ron Carroll, Yves Murasca, and Darin Epsilon, blending house, deep grooves, and progressive touches. By now, the island is alive—the energy is unmistakable. The legendary artists return, their music rippling through the air like waves on a moonlit sea. Sebastien Leger, Green George, Andhim, and Eelke Kleijn take the soundscape into deeper, more driving territory, the kind of music that fuels late-night sessions in intimate clubs, where the real magic of Ibiza happens. The tempo shifts again as the final hour approaches, climbing towards the night's peak. Robyn Balliet, Archie B, and Karretero bring in sounds that would be at home in the peak moments of a sunrise set, when the dancefloors of the island are at their purest—where people lose themselves in the music, where time stands still, where nothing else exists except the beat and the moment. This is Ibiza in March—a season on the edge of change, a place where music is not just played but felt. Session Ibiza—March 2025 is a journey through this energy, a five-hour story of rhythm, anticipation, and the endless pulse of the island. Sebastiaan

October brings the closing stretch of Ibiza’s season, but there’s still plenty of music to share. This month’s In Session Ibiza brings together 13 tracks, with selections from Frankey & Sandrino, Eelke Kleijn, Robag Wruhme, Mochakk, and Adam Ten.SCRIPT x Frankys open with “Inside The Brain,” followed by LOVRA’s “Get Close.” Two Kompakt releases frame Eelke Kleijn’s “The Method,” before Marco Carola’s Bass Mix of “Da Fonk” marks the midpoint. The second half features Deep Fiktion, Michael Grandel and Mesto, with ME.EE and Dimitri Mediator’s Extended Night Mix of “Le Voie Le Soleil” is closing the October selection. Thanks for listening. If a track catches your ear, you’ll find the artists and labels on 1001 Tracklists. Support their music, share the mix with a friend, and follow In Session Ibiza for a new selection each month. A full room, Rocco's farewell party, and a set that was supposed to be one hour and ended up running thirty minutes after closing. The dancefloor kept asking for more, and this recording is the full ride. Shout-out to the engineers of Paradiso! Rocco, thank you for asking me to play your farewell. It was an honor to soundtrack your goodbye, and I hope this set takes you right back to that night wherever you go next. Paradiso, thank you for having me. Playing under that roof in Amsterdam is always something special. And to everyone who was there and danced until the lights came on: this one is for you. Sebastiaan
September on the island is the month a lot of us wait for. The crowds thin out, the nights stay warm, and the people still here are the ones who came for the music. This hour leans into that. We open with brand new Drumcode. Volkoder and Korolova released "Waiting For You" at the end of August, their first collaboration and a debut on the label for both of them, built around a recurring vocal hook and a synth riff at 128. It carries melody and drive at the same time, which makes it a good door into the show. Rafael Cerato's "Cash" on Arcane Music follows, then Skytech's remix of ANOTR and 54 Ultra's "Talk to you" gets a short, sharp run before Andre Palms and Lahox take over with "Vibrations" on dFunk. Oliver Heldens and Will Clarke's "Lost In Music" on Spinnin' Deep is the first proper lift, and then it gets interesting: Bart Skils and Weska reworking Soul Central's "Strings Of Life / Un Amore Supremo" for Drumcode. Derrick May's original is one of the most remixed records in dance music, and most attempts add nothing. This one earns its place. The middle of the show belongs to Late London. Three tracks, all from the same "On The Case" EP that landed on Mindshake in August, spread across the set rather than stacked: "Double The Time," the J. Park collaboration "On The Case," and "TIME2WORK." Mindshake has had a strong summer, and this release is a big part of why. Around them, Morab, Altera, and Paul Harris with "Take A Trip" on AETERNA. Robag Wruhme's "Olahni" on Cocoon takes the temperature of the room down without losing anybody. Coco Bevan's "Move Like That" on Apples & Oranges and Sammy Dean's "Play The Game" on Wh0 Worx bring it back up. The last stretch opens out. Emanuel Satie and Bruno Roth's "Touch" runs long and does real work, then The Other Side's "Sinner" holds the deepest passage of the show. I close on my own, "Tree Pose." See you next month. Ibiza family, August is here, and the island is running at full temperature. This one is for you. I made this episode for exactly this moment of the season: one hour of the Seb_h sound, warm and groovy tech house for open air, golden light, and dancefloors that don't want the night to end. Wherever you are listening, on the beach, in the car, or getting ready for the night, this hour is yours. I have something special for you this month. You are the first to hear "Playa", my brand-new collaboration with Belgian Tomorrowland artist Crazy Sir-G, premiered exclusively in this episode. It comes from the same place this whole show comes from: sun, rhythm, and being completely present in the moment. Let me know what you think when you hear it; I read every reply. And if you are on the island: the Tomorrowland Rooftop Sessions continue this month with two nights above Playa d'en Bossa, Friday, August 14 and Friday, August 28, from sunset into the night. Come dance with us, come say hi. Meeting you on that rooftop is my favorite part of the season. All dates and updates: https://ra.co/dj/sebastiaanhooft Recorded in Es Cubells, Ibiza. Turn it up, close your eyes, and you're here.
