#407 When Progressive Logic Collapses: Reacting to Viral TikToks | Monique Duson & Phoenix Hayes

Combat sports fans are gearing up for a high-stakes showdown as Liverpool's Darren "The Gorilla" Till faces off against Cuban powerhouse Yoel "Soldier of God" Romero on September 26. This event, part of BKFC 94, also features the Bare Knuckle Middleweight Championship, with reigning champion Dave "The Redneck" Mundell defending his title against undefeated British challenger Jack "The Meat Cleaver" Cullen.

In a separate discussion, the podcast delves into the intersection of faith and contemporary cultural issues, particularly focusing on spiritual warfare and the influence of ideologies like Marxism and postmodernism on societal values. The hosts engage in a deep conversation about the nature of truth and the challenges faced by Christians in a world that often rejects absolute truths. They explore topics such as abortion, gender identity, and the importance of understanding personhood in the context of these debates.

The conversation also touches on the complexities of discussing mental health and postpartum depression, emphasizing the need for compassion and understanding while maintaining a commitment to truth. The hosts argue that while empathy is crucial, it is equally important to uphold moral standards and engage thoughtfully with cultural narratives that may contradict biblical teachings.

In this episode, I’m joined by Monique Duson and Phoenix Hayes to react to viral clips about abortion, progressive Christianity, gender ideology, and more. But the conversation takes an unexpected turn when we dive deep into spiritual warfare. How do Christians discern what is actually demonic? Are we supposed to rebuke demons, engage them, or simply ignore them? And what does it look like to take spiritual warfare seriously without seeing a demon behind every bush?

We also talk about the deeper issue underneath so many of today’s cultural battles: What does it mean to be a human person created in the image of God? From abortion to transgender ideology, we explore what happens when our culture loses a coherent foundation for answering that question.

This conversation went places none of us expected—and it gets practical, theological, and pretty hilarious along the way.
