Summary
A new band, Black Spikes, emerges from Lithuania with a unique blend of hard rock and metal, showcasing a strong visual identity and a commitment to evolving their sound. Formed in 2018 by Agni and bass player Cime, the band initially played hard rock but transitioned to heavier music as their lineup changed and new influences entered. Agni emphasizes the importance of growth and experimentation in music, encouraging aspiring musicians to embrace the journey of trial and error rather than waiting for perfection before sharing their work.
The band's latest album, "Idos," released through Napalm Records, features a dark fairy tale concept, with the song "Motina" serving as the creative spark for the project. The band intricately weaves stories and characters into their music, with each song representing a different demon, reflecting themes of curiosity and revenge. They highlight the significance of location in their music videos, using historical sites to enhance their storytelling.
Black Spikes recently toured with established acts like Infected Rain and Butcher Babies, gaining valuable experience and confidence on stage. They plan to present their music through a unique metal fashion show, combining performance with visual art. As they look to the future, the band expresses pride in their collaborative team and the hard work that has gone into their latest album, marking a significant milestone in their musical journey.
