Show Notes
It’s the penultimate episode of series 2, and this week The Fringe of It goes to the Fringe! Taking us on a rollercoaster of culture- it’s a buffet of comedy, crying and cabaret as well as a beautiful one woman monologue about Love is Blind (courtesy of Charlotte, sadly not performed at the Fringe… yet). Charlotte and Liv also delve into pressing matters such as bringing back liquid eyeliner and why women complimenting each other on their outfits is an integral part of serotonin sharing in our society. There’s also pan slammingly good cookies, a dessert we *all* need to be adding to our repertoires and an introduction to hip and fresh new artist… Dua Lipa!! You heard it here first! Or last!
If your life has been changed by discovering Dua or you have a bakery worth shouting from the rooftops about, we very much would love to know- please send us your map-pinned pastries over to [email protected], and for high quality collages and a lovely carousel (if you’re lucky) of things we chatted about you can have a nosey on our IG too @fringeofit. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
More from The Fringe of It
This week we come to you in the shape of a little podlet. Is that a thing? Let's make it a thing! Liv is on holiday, Charlotte is *sick* of talking about sausages and the girls' are having a one week R&R break. BUT! There is still garlic bread chatter, Ready Brek recall (yes a break is needed) and some out of date Traitors chat to tide you over.
Autumn is here! The porridge is on, Liv is cheerfully waving to everyone she passes and Charlotte has cut the ribbon on roast season! It's all go! Except there's trouble in paradise- despite some triumphant Yorkshire puddings Charlotte admits a gravy blindspot, and needs your tips! ASAP! (We're serious)!
It's a supermarket-delivery shaped start to this weeks podcast, and after a DMC (that's deep meaningful chat, to those unacquainted) about how they got their slots, the girls are OFF. But it's a pizza bombshell from Charlotte that stops Liv in her tracks- all before the biggest bombshell of all; Traitors chat is back (and Charlotte has the whole family watching).
It's a whole lot of food and films this week, as Charlotte goes on a culinary tour of Margate that Henry VIII himself would be proud of (remember: it's not the quantity it's the ORDER), and in a never heard of situation, Liv manages to stay awake for a whole... 3 films. In a week! Miracles can happen!
Wow oh wow, it’s been a big week. And if you thought that was counting a visit to Skegvegas, talk of smart speakers and Charlotte’s big delve into The Cottage Cheese Scene- we’re only just getting started. There’s talk of THE only radio station worth knowing (well, one of about three), some quite serious sausage chat #EverySausageHasAStory (if last year was Charlotte’s bonnet year, every year is her sausage one) and how on earth Liv ended up at Jarvis Cocker’s birthday party on Friday night…
