"I'm NOT An Exorcist!" Victor Marx DENIES Lying + Socialist Democrats De-Fund PRISONS

Piers Morgan Uncensored

Show Notes

The stakes could hardly be higher as the US heads towards the midterm elections, with President Trump's political future and legislative agenda hanging in the balance. The outcome will determine whether Republicans can maintain control of Congress and shape the race to succeed Trump, while growing tensions within the MAGA movement raise fresh questions about the future of his coalition.

Much of the political conversation has focused on the so-called "MAGA civil war" over Iran, but another battle is unfolding on the left. More than 35 Democratic Socialists of America-backed candidates have defeated moderate Democrats in primary races, signalling the growing influence of the party's progressive wing. Led by figures including Bernie Sanders, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Zohran Mamdani, the movement is reshaping the Democratic Party - but not without fierce opposition from within.

Meanwhile, Democrats are grappling with the rising influence of the party's progressive wing, as figures including Zohran Mamdani and Hasan Piker divide opinion. Republicans are also facing scrutiny over controversial Colorado gubernatorial candidate Victor Marx following his primary victory.

With both parties backing increasingly polarising candidates, the question remains whether American politics is moving further away from the centre and what that could mean for the country's future.

Piers Morgan is joined by Republican candidate for governor of Colorado, Victor Marx, Democratic Socialist candidate in South Florida, Oliver Larkin, former national press secretary to Bernie Sanders, Briahna Joy Gray, former Democratic presidential candidate Marianne Williamson, and former Republican congressman and presidential candidate, Joe Walsh to discuss.

Donald Trump’s approval rating has fallen to its lowest point of either presidency, with barely 31 per cent of Americans believing he is doing a good job. With the US midterm elections just 13 days away, the president is facing mounting political pressure as wars in Ukraine and Iran threaten to define his administration. But his diplomatic mission has raised eyebrows after Witkoff publicly praised Putin as a humanitarian, while Trump has once again placed the burden of ending the Ukraine war on Zelensky rather than the Russian leader who launched it. Meanwhile, Trump is blaming Ukraine for the cost of American support, as voters grow increasingly frustrated with high fuel prices and continued conflict. Yet the pressure on energy prices is also tied to the war involving Iran, where renewed US attacks on Tehran could follow the midterm elections. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has praised Trump’s leadership and declared that the two countries have a job to finish, fuelling concerns that the conflict could soon escalate again. As Trump attempts to contain the political fallout from two major wars, a fragile end to the fighting in Ukraine may be approaching. But the conflict with Iran could be entering a far more dangerous phase. Piers Morgan is joined by Alastair Campbell plus Trita Parsi, executive vice president of the Quincy Institute; Jim Hanson, chief strategist at the Middle East Forum; and Will Chamberlain, host of Counterweight. Plus, General Keith Kellogg, former US special envoy for Russia and Ukraine, joins the show to discuss the prospects for peace in Ukraine and the growing threat of renewed conflict with Iran.
