012: Ty Segall on Hey You Listen to This

More music you've never heard on Hey You Listen to This.

Ty Segall is one of the 21st century's most prolific rock-n-roll musicians. With 17 studio albums to his name, his approach to making records has shifted from early garage-rock instincts to a more reactionary, forward-moving process driven by boredom, curiosity, and experimentation. His latest release, Possession, is in the same spirit, incorporating chamber and jangle elements to create a thematically heavy, but anthemic and feel-good album. I chatted to Ty about innovation over a wide catalogue, 60s psychedelic rock and balancing creative influences.
