It’s the end of summer and I am back! What was going to be a two-week break from the podcast turned into a full summer of slow beautiful presence. I allowed myself to let go of my trademark hustler energy, and a softer side of me stepped forward to take the lead. This shift helped me to experience such deeper connections with my children, JP, my parents and myself.
Today I’ll share why I needed this pause and where I’m at with these changes now that I am back on the mic.
Today on WithIn:
How burnout snuck up and blindsided me during the spring
Effectively taking a break when you are a ‘doer’
What I learned when I allowed my hustler energy to take a back seat for the first time
How I’m integrating my learnings into my real life now that I am entering autumn
Come join us this March 2026 for Clarity & Connection, an intimate Women’s Retreat on the remote, tropical coast of Cambutal, Panama. Through yoga, meditation, and soulful community, you’ll reconnect with yourself and return to what truly matters. Learn more here.

JP and I find ourselves in what feels like the hardest season of parenting we’ve had. Between our eldest getting ready for college, and our three other children becoming more and more busy as they get older, it feels like we’re in a period of crescendo as a family… a crescendo that might not quiet down for a couple of years.
I posted a reel last week about how I parent teens as a sober mom, and it led to a lot of important questions popping up in my DMs: Do my kids drink? What are my rules around drinking? Do I talk to my kids about alcohol?
There are so many things in midlife that feel ungrounding. Our bodies are changing in wildly uncomfortable ways. Our children are getting older (and maybe leaving the nest). We’re facing the reality of aging parents. And then there’s something that I hear so many women speak about: a persistent midlife itch that there is something more for us. A next chapter. A new calling. Yet, what exactly that ‘new thing’ is rarely feels clear. So today, we’re going to talk about it:
Jaemi Pierson is one of the most inspiring people I follow on Instagram, so I had to bring her wisdom straight to you on WithIn!
Last week I found myself in my closet, overcome by a heavy bout of The Sunday Scaries - It wasn’t anxiety about the approaching Monday, but anxiety about the entire fall season. After a beautiful summer focused on my family, the realities of the fall felt like too much to face.
