Scripture Central: LDS Come Follow Me & Church History

Summary

Marketers are increasingly recognizing the phenomenon of "bullspend," where ad campaigns show impressive metrics but fail to translate into actual revenue. This has led to a call for a more results-oriented approach, with a focus on tangible outcomes rather than just reach. LinkedIn is highlighted as a platform that delivers a high return on ad spend, encouraging advertisers to invest in campaigns that yield real financial results.

The discussion shifts to the historical context of Joseph Smith's writings during his imprisonment in Liberty Jail, where he reflects on the suffering of the Latter-day Saints amidst persecution. Sections 121 through 123 of the Doctrine and Covenants, written during this tumultuous period, are noted for their emotional depth and insight into the trials faced by Smith and his followers. These sections emphasize the importance of enduring suffering with faith and the eventual promise of relief and exaltation for those who remain steadfast.

The conversation also touches on the nature of leadership within the church, highlighting the principles of humility, persuasion, and love as essential qualities for those in positions of authority. Joseph Smith's experiences in Liberty Jail serve as a poignant backdrop for these teachings, illustrating the contrast between righteous leadership and the pitfalls of pride and domination. The hosts conclude by underscoring the relevance of these lessons for contemporary church leaders and members alike.

For hundreds of years, the tomb of Jesus has been depicted in paintings, sculptures, film, and other visual media. But how accurate are these depictions? What secrets might still be revealed to better represent how the Savior’s tomb would have appeared at the time of his death and resurrection? Uploaded 29-03-24Over 900 tombs have been discovered in Jerusalem dating to the time of Jesus. This research allows us to capture a picture of His tomb better than any previous depiction. By carefully examining statements from the four gospels and archeological remains, we will attempt to recreate, with the magic of 3D modeling, one of the most detailed and accurate renderings ever presented of the tomb of Jesus.
