Tales of the Night

My Neighbor Worships the Devil (Stories of Witchcraft and Real Witches)

Tales of the Night

Show Notes

"Tonight we're diving headfirst into one of the topics that most unsettles the community: witches… but not the fairytale kind, rather the ones that seem to live right next door.

We'll hear the story of someone who discovers, almost by accident, that their neighbor is doing strange things in the backyard, things that gradually begin to be felt on the other side of the fence as well.

From then on, the nights are never quiet again. We'll also travel to a farm in Costa Rica where, amidst family bonfires and nighttime games, something that shouldn't exist gets a little too close to one of the cousins; we'll meet a listener marked by witchcraft since before birth, who tries to protect her son from a presence bound to his blood; and, finally, we'll follow a young man who has been dreaming for years about the same woman dressed in black… until one day he sees her walking past him in real life.

If you're ready for stories of witches, rituals, and presences that return again and again, turn off the lights, get comfortable… Tales of the Night is about to begin." Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

"Goblins are part of some of the oldest and strangest beliefs in our culture. They are said to hide objects, roam through houses at night, and linger near certain places without ever revealing themselves. Yet, there are also stories warning of something more unsettling: attracting their attention, asking for their help, or attempting to strike a bargain with them can lead to unexpected consequences.
