The Poetry's Dead PodcastShow Notes
Spring is returning after a brutal winter and so are the poems! Whilst the storms and dry January pushed most the population to hide indoors and wait for a bit of sunshine to come after 5pm, we were training hard on bringing back the show with a little glow-up. We have the full show coming back on Monday 10th February, but enjoy our little teaser episode with a few poems from the lads to ease us back in. We have Ryan's tribute poem to the Netflix hit show Queer Eye and Leon's love letter to t...

It's taken ages but we've finally stopped sunbathing and watching the World Cup to bring to you the final episode of the series! So many bangers to go through today, but we want to say a special thank you to the writer Katriona O'Sullivan who has recorded 4 poems for us to share on the show this week. We couldn't be more grateful so thank you Katriona, you're a warrior woman and we are delighted to be able to share your poems. Thank you to everyone as always for supporting us. Do share the sh...
Few weeks break and we are back with giddyness, giggles and ballads galore! I think you can tell we missed you lot with the amount of absolute nonsense we are spouting on the show this week in between the laughs. We do however bring poems too, with pieces from Dana Gioia, Dostoevsky, Sam Tovey and a returning agony aunt! Enjoy, tell your mates and leave us really sound reviews, g'wan! A poem from Patti Smith before music by Becca Colley to end the show. Lovely hurling. On a break next week as we plan/perform at a few live gig...

This week's show we keep it a little lighter, but I think in doing so we accidentally got a bit macho. Nightmare really. Especially that chat we have about what dog should you aspire to be. That was definitely a toxic conversation lol. Anyway! Poems this week about being sound, being brave, being aware, being alert to the way you show up in the world and we also have a poem about the naivety of human kindness thanks to James Tate's 'Good Time Jesus'. If you'd like to see this mess of a show i...
