I've been sharing a lot of the Yes Language I use with my kids and a top question I receive regularly is "does your husband do this too?!" Well- let's ask my sweet hubs if he uses it and what his take is on this communication style with our kids. We are two parents doing the best we can- just like you! This is what we have found works really well for us to feel our best as the parents we want to be. Truly love how open Marcus is and my goal is that you feel encouraged to start using Yes Language no matter who is or is not using it, too. I've crafted out an entire Yes Mom Campus inside of my coaching membership. It's 21 lessons to teach you how to love what you say and how you say it- saving yourself time and energy. If you're ready to start using Yes Language and ditch a whole lot of "no, no, no" then join us!

It has been an exhaustive season for me and I'd go through it again to learn what I have from it. This episode is a little different giving you a more real and raw look into where the "all or nothing" mindset was showing up for me, and what I personally did about it. What I mentioned in the show: Tiffany Florio Intimate Storytelling Tessa's "I am" Statement Workshop, next one is October 26 MOMSET Membership

It's 7:30 pm on a Sunday. Everyone's past their limit. The words are loaded on the tip of your tongue — and you're one breath away from saying the thing you'll regret. Here's the truth I learned on my knees cleaning up baseball cards: you don't need more patience in that moment. You need a skill. Patience isn't something you're born with or dig deep and find — it's the byproduct of skills you practice until they kick in on their own. This week I'm handing you the exact skill that saved me: the Redirect skill. Come find out how one question stopped the words before they left my lips — and how to make it kick in for you, too. 🎧 Press play, then take this week's one step: before you speak, weigh your words through "What would I feel and think if God said that to me?" 💛 Doors to Strong Minded Mother open this October. Do you care more about being free or being right? We are about to find out in this episode! First, please leave a review of the podcast if it's been helpful for you. I'd love to hear how you're living the work with me over the years. This episode walks through three doors that tend to be defended even if they are harmful to our freedom in life. Marriage, Children and Self I'll show you how to reframe each one to step back into freedom, even when you occasionally slip into "fight to be right" autopilot. By the end you'll love to be free more than you love to be right and notice a weight lifted from your mind and body as you go through the rest of your day. Love you BIG friend! Tessa
