Episode 157 – Is the Medication working? The 50% Approach
This Episode was inspired by the 4-hour Psychopharmacology Workshop I hosted during the WSAVA Congress in Poland last week. We had such a great 4 hours chatting about the theory and, more importantly, practice of using Veterinary Psychopharmacology.
One of the questions we dived further into was "How do we know if a baseline medication is working for the patient and how do we know if we should swap to something else, increase the dose or perhaps augment with another medication?".
Have a listen as I chat through all the angles of this question and how I approach this in my own clinical behaviour cases.
Have a listen to Episode 93 if you'd like to find out more about common side effects of psychopharmaceuticals and have a listen to Episode 51 to find out more about baseline versus event medications.
