#591: The Man Who Refused to Die: Ian Clark's Health Transformation & What's Really Making You Sick!
The Brian Keane PodcastShow Notes
Ian Clark is the CEO of Activation Products, a business built to inspire people to strive for perfect health. At 46, Ian's health started to unravel completely — he had a large tumor near his colon and prostate, significant heart disease, and his liver went off the rails. He was also coming out of a business bankruptcy at the time. He was told he had roughly 1,000 days left to live.
He asked his doctor to hold off on surgery for three months and gave himself that time to find a natural path. He started researching everything he could on nutrition and superfoods, completely changed his diet, and began rebuilding from the ground up. He is also the host of the show Younger Than Yesterday Podcast, available everywhere podcasts are found. Working hard on an online coaching business but still not seeing progress? In this Ask Brian episode, a personal trainer asks about burnout while juggling in-person sessions and a move online. Brian uses a marathon-training analogy to show how effort can be misdirected. He explains the importance of a specific audience and offer, talks through four levels of access in his business, and describes how he repurposes content for people who prefer to watch, listen or read. The second half looks at lead generation, delivery systems and the work a coach can delegate to create capacity.
