A 64-year-old man from Richmond, Virginia, faces serious charges after allegedly restraining his wife with tape to a chair in their basement so he could watch football without interruptions. Terry Ward was arrested following a domestic disturbance call, where his wife reported being held against her will for approximately 30 to 45 minutes. Officers noted tape residue on her arms, and Ward admitted to the act, stating he simply wanted to enjoy the game.

In a separate incident, a 76-year-old Georgia woman named Grace Edge has been charged with two counts of murder after allegedly shooting her ex-husband and his girlfriend. The shooting occurred when Edge burst into their home and opened fire, resulting in the deaths of Wallace Edge and 40-year-old Pamela Cook, while also injuring Cook's mother. Reports indicate that there was no prior argument, and the couple had been divorced for over a decade, though they had a complicated on-again, off-again relationship. Edge now faces multiple charges, including malice murder.
