In hockey news, the Montreal Canadiens face a challenging period as their captain, Nick Suzuki, is sidelined for two to four weeks due to an injury. This marks a significant moment for the team, as they have never played without Suzuki since Martin St. Louis became coach. The Canadiens are expected to adopt a "by committee" approach to fill the gap left by Suzuki, with players like Oliver Kapanen stepping up to take on more responsibility. The team's management and coaching staff express confidence in their ability to adapt, despite the uncertainty surrounding their performance without their leading player.

As the Canadiens prepare for a demanding schedule, the discussion revolves around the impact of Suzuki's absence on team dynamics and performance. Analysts highlight the importance of collective effort and the potential for younger players to rise to the occasion during this critical stretch. The team's upcoming games against the Chicago Blackhawks and others will serve as a test of their resilience and depth.
